Favorite HIIT Workout May 17, 2019
Happy Friday ladies! Today I’m sharing my favorite 30 minute HIIT workout. HIIT stands for High Intensity Interval Training. These kind of workouts are short but intense, and if done correctly, and offers tremendous benefits to those seeking to be healthier, lower their fat percentage, etc. There are many varieties of HIIT, but here is my go-to workout!
If you look up HIIT songs on Spotify, you’ll even find songs that play music and then tell you when to rest and when to start the next 30 second exercise. Super helpful! During those 30 seconds you should make sure that you have proper technique for safety, and then hit it hard. Please consult a doctor for medical advice on whether HIIT is right for you.
I try to exercise because God calls me to be a good steward of my body, and I want to honor Him with the gift of health that He has given me. It’s not a right, it truly is a valuable gift. And for that, I thank Him by seeking to live out joyful obedience to Him in how I eat, drink, and exercise! If you’re looking for a verse to help you know where to start in processing taking care of your body for God’s glory, check out 1 Corinthians 10:31.

30 Minute HIIT Workout
30 seconds each, 10 second rest:
- Jumping jacks
- Squats
- Jumping squats
- Burpees
- Speed skaters
- Jump lunges (I normally modify by doing walking lunges)
- High knees
- Bum kicks
- Standing elbow to knee crunches
- Frankensteins
- Squat + side kicks
- 1 minute break, then repeat!
Once you make it all the way through, take a one minute break at the end and then start again! You repeat the whole cycle three times. Three cycles with the appropriate length of breaks gives you exactly a 30 minute workout. Enjoy!

Alexandra
