Hi everyone! God has blessed Alexandra Amnesty with opening some BIG doors, and I am excited to share with you some changes that will be happening here for my followers.
I have a few short-term and long-term goals for this business, and one of them was to be accepted into the rewardStyle network as one of their fashion bloggers. It is very competitive and so I told myself that I would try for one year, and if God didn't allow it then I would drop the blog. I was shocked to find out that I was accepted into their network, praise God! However, this means that this blog will have some significant changes in both content and functionality.
What This Means For Me (The Reader)
Right now, how this business works is I market Amazon Fashion products I like on my social media channels and my readers can purchase them off my blog. However, that is about to change -- I will still offer a blog but for my followers on Instagram, this process just became a lot easier! One of the programs offered by rewardStyle is the ever-popular LIKEtoKNOW.It. Basically, whenever you "like" a post on my Instagram, you get all my outfit details via email and in the LIKEtoKNOW.it app!Download the app here. I will also be changing my website to accommodate these changes while still making it easy to purchase items for those who don't have Instagram. I also will probably not do as many Amazon Fashion products, although I will still be focusing on modest fashion at affordable prices! Mainly, because that's all I wear!
How LIKEtoKNOW.it Works
When Will This Start?
I have all my posts planned out for the rest of January and through the month of February already (ha, I am a planner!), so I am thinking this will officially begin in March. That is not official, as I'm still trying to wrap my brain around everything. But by March 1st at the latest, it will be in full swing.
Why Are You Changing Everything?!
Alexandra Amnesty is a business, and this was simply a business decision that I think would be best to support my long-term goals. My goal is NOT to be famous, my goal is to provide a bit of extra income for my family (while offering biblical inspiration along the way!) using things I think God has already blessed me with in skill/talent -- the blend of lifestyle and social media marketing.
My title is called being a fashion "influencer," and so my job consists of marketing fashion and beauty products I like; I make commission if my followers purchase these products. Although I appreciate the ease of Amazon, the problem is that I only make money if my readers purchase within the first 24 hours of the blog post. And since most of my readers are deep-thinking, carefully-planning women -- it's just not a good business avenue for me with the demographic I reach. With rewardStyle, I now have a huge window for people to purchase my items with commission, but also opens the doors to partnering with hundreds of brands: Nordstrom, Target, Old Navy, Gap, etc.
When I won a 24 hour digital correspondent internship to the Shorty Awards red carpet in 2015 through my first social media campaign, I realized that God was opening some unexpected doors in my life. I am not sure where He is taking me (scary!) but I am trying to evaluate every month if this is truly the path I'm supposed to be on right now. My biggest goal is to use this as a platform to share the gospel of Jesus Christ in a world where people think that the highest form of happiness can be achieved by a certain pants size or a perfectly contoured face.
This coat is an over-sized fit, so if you'd like something a little form-fitting then I would size down. I am wearing a size medium in this photo. The rest of these items are all TTS. They are all part of my weekly staples in dressing for everyday life this winter!
